Jerry Cole(September 23, 1939-May 28 , 2008) born Jerald Kolbrak was an American guitarist who recorded under his own name, under various budget album pseudonyms ans as an uncredited session musican. To name a few band names such as: The Hot Rodders, The Scramblers , Jerry Cole & the Strokers, The Blasters, The Stingers, The Deuce Coupes & The Winners. And as session guitarist with the legendary studio group The Wrecking Crew. Played on records with The Byrds , Them , Johnny Rivers , Jerry Lee Lewis , Roy Orbison , Little Richard , The Champs , Gregg Allman, Aretha Franklin....etc etc etc. This track is from a record originally named "A Tribute To Jimi Hendrix" Alshire LP 5220 P.1971 USA. Great obscure trippy psych.

George "Wild Child" Butler(October 1, 1936-March 1, 2005) born in Hernando, Mississippi or Autuagaville , Alabama, USA!?? Here with two blues tunes recorded in Chicago 1966 and written and produced  by one of his side men on this record, Willie Dixon(bass). These two songs appeared first on his first album "Open Up Baby" Jewel Records P.1966. Two rare items!

A great rocking blues from Sidney "Guitar Crusher" Selby, recorded in 1962 on the small New York City T&S label. Sidney born 1931 in Hyde County , North Carolina, moved to New York City in the 1950´s where he began singing in the local baptist church. After been singed by Columbia Records(1962-1970) he played with lots of different blues & soul acts like The Drifters , Ben E King & The Isley Brothers . A great Rhythm & Blues 45´ with Miss LaVell(White) born July 3, 1929 in Amite City,Louisiana ,USA. After relocated to Houston , Texas, at the age of 15,she begun working as vocalist  with guitarist Clarence Hollimon in different blues clubs. Her break came when Johnny Copeland recommended her to Don Robey, the owner of the legendary Duke & Peacock record labels.  She recorded 14 tracks between 1958-1964 for the Duke label,and this is one of them. She sings with a strong shouting voice on the self penned song and the band doing it´s best to keep up with her! Enjoy!

Some boogie blues for you people  that loves a good Rhythm n´ Blues thang. Bernie Hardison´s "Love Me Baby" recorded and released 1953 on the fine Nashville, Tennessee Excello label. Nothing is known about this piano? playing guy named Bernie Hardison, so if there are someone out there who knows something, please. let me know.

A tough blues shouter from 1952 by the less known Terry Timmons(Teresa Walker) April 1927-August 1970. Recorded for the Premium label but released on RCA 45-20-4549. The band playing behind her is Memphis Slim Band who was on the Premium label at this time round 1952. A rare and fine blues tune from Mrs Timmons!

"Big" Bob Kornegay here with a nice Rhythm n´ Blues tune co written with Dave "Baby" Cortez, recorded & released in 1959 on the short lived  "Jaro" label located in New York City. "Big"Bob Kornegay most remembered as a member with The Du-Droppers(1952-1955) who was a Doo-Wop group from Harlem, New York. Great guitar here!

"LET´S BEGIN AGAIN" V. AND B.B. "J&S" 45-1624 P.1958 NEW YORK, USA

J&S Records(1956-1976) was a New York record label own by Zelma "Zell" Sanders(1922-1976) one of few female owners in the recording industries at that time! J&S records produced a couple of hits in the 1950´s, and the first success was in 1957 with Johnnie & Joe´s "Over The Mountain,Across The Sea", which included "Zell" Sanders daughter Johnnie Louse Richarson. "Baby" Washington was one of the top names for J&S. The duo that sing on this tune is probably Rex Garvin & "Baby"Washington!? But you´ll never knows for sure. Wild guitar solo by the way! Enjoy!
